Liberty American School (LAS) is a distinctive non-denominational Christian day and boarding school situated in East Legon, one of Accra's most dynamic and internationally diverse suburbs. Founded in December 2012 in response to demand from diplomatic and expat families for a strong, independent Christian school, LAS has grown into a well-regarded institution for children from 3 months through to 18 years (Grade 12).
The school follows an American curriculum, organising its year into two semesters and four quarterly terms, and offers small class sizes with high expectations, ensuring every child receives meaningful one-on-one attention. LAS is approved for IB Diploma candidacy, a Middle States Association (MSA) candidate, and a member of the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) and the Association of International Schools in Africa (AISA). Beyond academics, the school runs a range of sports, clubs, and after-school activities, summer school, and a year-round crèche. Built on the three core values of Christ, Community, and Excellence, LAS offers a family-oriented atmosphere that parents consistently describe as warm and supportive.
Built on the three core values of Christ, Community, and Excellence, LAS is committed to training students within an academic environment that balances love and discipline. LAS believes that the training of students in mind and morals is essential to a progressive society, and that children are uniquely gifted and should be nurtured toward academic, spiritual, and social success.
